The latest band from Saltmine invading schools is four-piece Exalt with this five-track CD as an introduction to the band's talents. This strong pop debut mixes some catchy tunes to arrest those with wandering attention spans and mixes in some slower material for the more thoughtful! Consequently you get the dance pop of "Saved Me" with its strong groove and psalm-like lyrics and sampled testimonies. "God Shaped Hole" is a slower song of yearning with plenty of atmosphere. The top track here though is the title cut which opens the CD and is perfect pop. Exalt have packaged together some hooky music with its focus on hitting school yard pop sensibilities and there's no doubt they're right on target.
