This new band have released their debut EP with the aim "to glorify, praise and worship the one true God of the Bible through our music." Not to be confused with the Norwegian Christian thrash band of the same name, Extol are four young men from Neath, Glamorgan who have put together four tracks which convey their heart to worship God and connect with their young audience. Kicking off with "Knowing You" they do this well with good lyrics, good vocals from Matthew France and a good guitar solo from Luke Evans. However on the "Creator Turned Saviour" the track turns into a bit of a dirge before being lifted by another guitar solo. "To Cry And Praise" is a welcome stripped down cut but is followed by "Great King, Great Love, Great Friend" which is the least impressive track. The band play and sing well but need to work harder at their songwriting.
