Another excellent album out of the Christsyde camp, this is a radical streetwise alternative to the anaemic outpourings of Nashville. So it’s great to see they’re still on the urban tip. The cut with the radio appeal is “All I Need” which features a wonderfully phat bass riff, a rap from the man about his reliance on the Lord and a soulful vocal from Prescilla which lifts a bit of the Motown oldie “You’re All I Need To Get By” (no sign of the correct publisher/composer info on the sleeve... now come on guys.). Other good cuts here are “Rough” featuring the album’s producer Coo-B, “Watcha Got?” with a great hook from R&B group Nine Up and “In Yo Mouth” highlighting the turntable skills of DJ Dizznoc. A bit short in length (a mere 35.39 minutes and that’s including interlude and intro) means that I have to knock off one square. But still, a satisfying joint.
