Fly By Amnesty are a three piece band from Wiltshire who play contemporary Christian music. It treads the line between acoustic folk and garage rock played with jazz guitar. They will be donating half of all profits from the royalties and sales of their songs to Christian Aid. There are interesting, enigmatic lyrics in "Show A Little Soul" with "The dealer left to study as a student Al Capone/Even Jesus couldn't reach him 'cause Al was always on the phone/Quite soon he became a junkie and a pimp working his share/So when another student shot him there was no-one left to care/Show a little soul now people/Let the Holy Spirit flow now people". My favourite cut is where they rock out to the quirky interpretation of the Jonah story in the "Belly Of A Whale". All-in-all an intriguing debut, though I feel compelled to warn listeners about the song "Final Breath" where the lyrics are about a terminally ill person who begs Jesus to let him die. Oh dear.
