This is Gary's second solo release after leaving the Bill Gaither Trio (replacing the late Danny Gaither).
This album includes some songs written by top ccm musicians; Dony McGuire & Reba Rambo, Michael W. Smith co-writer of "I Am" which was released the year prior by trio Higher Ground. Ron Harris supplied the piano ballad "In This Very Room" which ends side 1 of the album. White Heart's Billy Smiley co-wrote the lp opener "He is the King" with Gary and " We Teach the Children; both are great classic ccm songs.
One of top faves is "JESUS Is The Rock", Gary wrote with Billy Smiley and Dan Huff; this is top ccm, a great song guys!!wtg! Gary does a great job in preaching the word in song! GOD Bless! -Don
