Quirky, unusual, eccentric, weird are all adjectives that could be applied to this 2011 album by Glen Galaxy aka MC Galaxalag or Glen Galloway, an individualist who also fronts hip-hop band Soul-Junk. From the whistled intro to "Water Of Life", a song thanking God for the death of Jesus with the chorus from the book of Revelation, it is clear this is alternative music and a long way from the standard praise and worship offerings. Virtually all songs are based on Scripture verses with sparse instrumentation, mainly guitar, keyboard and drums which are all subject to various electronic effects, backing the very clear vocals which lie somewhere between singing and rap. The positive lyrical content cannot be disputed but the whole thing sounds unfinished as though a demo for a project has been released early instead of a completed album. Melodies such as "Knowledge Of The Lord" and "Holy" along with others could easily be polished up into congregational pieces and despite the experimental feel of the whole album the hooks are there.
