GoNorthToGoSouth is a project of West-Coast muso busbee partnering with another muso, Ben West. The career of busbee so far is pretty impressive, having worked as an engineer and producer for such luminaries as Katy Perry, Flo Rida, Switchfoot, Lady Antebellum and Timbaland and while his songs have been used in a number of films, TV programmes and commercials. On this short collection the duo display many influences and styles which have been channelled into four catchy pop songs with a rock edge. It opens with the bouncy "I Just Wanna Know You" (why he uses "wanna" in the title when he clearly sings "want to" all the way through is a mystery), which has the feel of very well produced pub rock, not unlike The Fratellis. "Try" and "Two Left Feet" are lyrically quirky and melodically memorable, while the closer "You're Amazing" is lively and uplifting.
