By 1996 HOG were at their creative peak. ICC's release of their 'Booitz' classic album should have elevated them to the next level but it never quite happened. Possibly their all time great cut is "Catch My Drift" which still sounds good on Cross Rhythms radio today. This fascinating artifact also contains 21 minutes of the legendary "Overflow" hip hop night recorded in Leeds in May 2000. Not everything on these three lovingly compiled volumes stand up to close inspection today but there are enough sublime moments to recommend them to all devotees of gospel rap, particularly at their bargain price.
