You could describe Ipswich as a backwater, bottom of the Premiership, but there is more to the town as this output proves. Quietly in the shape of a still small voice comes a sprig of Holly D Johnston. What the D stands for we are not privy to, maybe Despite or Demo. Because despite sounding like a demo in parts, the recording nevertheless shows glimpses of simple, straightfoward musical quality with a wide range of instrumental backing. However the attempt at ambience on "Tearing Me Apart" is disastrous - needs attention or deletion! The title for the album is found on the track "Still I Scream" which denotes the vulnerability of the human soul echoed by the voices in Ms Johnston's head that on balance are worth hearing. A project deserving of better production.
