In the 21st century we are presented with endless musical voices which is amplified further by new artists uploading their new songs onto the web for the world to hear. This is the very competitive world that independent artists such as InHErent find themselves in. This is the most recent release (they've clocked up five!) from this American duo from Oklahoma consisting of Jeremy Parker and Tim Shade. Jeremy states his hearts desire is to bring the word of God to people in anyway possible. 'I Need You' contains encouraging lyrics ("When You Think Of Him") and testimony in song ("I Need You"). These are backed by some interesting (although sometimes clumsy) programming. Overall, the disc struggles badly on the technical side as on some songs the words are hard to hear over the music while there appears to be a hum on some tracks at the start (an amplifier?). If that wasn't off-putting enough, the harmonies often fall flat. In truth, there's still a long, long way to go for InHErent to stand out from those thousands of other independent artists vying for our attention.
