Having been established as a top Christian female vocalist for 21 years with 15 highly rated albums to her credit, the Latin pop singer, having slipped from view after marrying Salvador's Nick Gonzalez, has her first CD out for five years. Producers David Leonard and Chris Bevins help this most gifted of singers to deliver a quality musical feast of 10 top rate tracks. "Great Are You Lord" sums up her and her husband's faith and focus with the words "It's your breath in our lungs, so we pour out our praise to you only." Impressive vocal support from Nick characterised by their beautiful harmonies places this track alongside the best on the album. On the title track Jaci sings of her motivation, "You lift me up/My heart is wide open," and the musical production is slick and powerful. Most of the album's songs increase in intensity as Jaci's faith-fuelled passion takes hold of the lyrics and enhances their message. This is especially evident in "God Who Moves The Mountains" with its subtle opening that develops into a powerful tribute to a mighty God. Jaci's experience of her son's autism and her own personal battles are reflected in "It's Never As Dark As It Seems To Be" with a reverberating undercurrent of electronic sound opening this song of encouragement. The penultimate track is the worshipful "Praise The King". Clearly the CCM veteran has lost none of her ability to bring controlled emotion to songs of faith and commitment.
