This London-based MC was involved in the mainstream hip-hop scene before he came to Christ and initially quit music altogether before God revealed his gift was intended to spread the Gospel. Currently Jayess is working on debut album 'Genesis Snapshots', yet has launched this EP as an introduction. Tracks are seriously challenging, gritty and thought provoking, documenting his journey and talking tough issues front on. Jayess fires off his freestyle with boldness and skill. "We Rep Christ" is one of the highlights on this EP in which the rapper pulls no punches with powerful lyrics dropped confidently over good solid beats. "To Many Fakes" is a strong track where Jayess nails his colours to the mast in a way that more than tips its hat to Cross Movements "Huh What".
