This veteran gospel singer/songwriter's career was boosted by gospel legends Mahalia Jackson and James Cleveland. Indeed, he sang with Cleveland before going solo. Dixon delivers some of the best unadulterated gospel music around. Dixon's talent as a songwriter is demonstrated by the fact that several of the inspiring repertoire here are either his originals or his arrangements of traditional songs; like the choir-backed "Give God The Glory" and the frenetically-paced back-to-church "Think Of His Goodness", respectively. Songs like "Destined To Win" proclaim the good news.
