This album from one of Finland's best known Christian musicians is in itself something of radical departure from what we come to expect from CCM, for it introduces the hitherto unsuspecting listener to what the artist still delightfully known as Jukka L e p p i 1 a m p i euphemistically describes as 'voice music'. Let us be clear that this is neither sp< tongues nor the scat music of jazz singers. Put simply it consists of songs without recognizable words and it features on several of the tracks on this amazing if somewhat esoteric album. In Jukka's proverbial hands the voice becomes an instrument rather than the message bearer so it comes as no surprise to learn that he is now venturing into film soundtracks with evangelical broadcasters in the Netherlands. The standout track amongst the songs with words is an alluring rendition of Leonard Cohen's "If It Be Your Will". Definitely one for the jaded palette.

JUKKA LEPPILAMPI is a household name in his Finnish homeland, having been a leading light in one of Finland's top rock bands - TABLA ROSA - latin for Empty Canvas.
A frequent visitor to the annual CHRISTIAN ARTISTS SEMINAR near Utrecht in Holland, he currently specialises in what he calls VOICE MUSIC - something akin to the music of Native Americans.
He's written soundtrack music and does a blistering version of Leonard Cohen's 'If It Be Your Will'.
He hasn't released any English CD's since NAKED & QUIET but has more recent recordings in Finnish.
