A live recording from German artist Katrin Niessen brings together a collection of 12 self-penned songs roughly half of which she brings to us in her native tongue, the rest being in English. A chilled-out pace is what you would expect from the very calming seascape on the CD cover which it does deliver, but sadly in my opinion it's a little overdone. Each song on the album from the opening "You Are The Righteousness Of God" through to "Walking On The Shore" progresses at a strikingly similar pace with there being very little in the musical mix to differentiate one track from the next. The band are technically good but the arrangements are devoid of anything particularly noteworthy to catch the listener's ear. Katrin's lead vocals did not come across particularly well on this recording, lacking a little in depth and power and this wasn't helped by some occasionally flat harmonies from the backing singers.
