Kelvin Jones is a singer/songwriter who has truly experienced the darker side to life. The lyrics of his songs reflect this and it's great to see such negative experiences used for the glory of God. The album contains 11 tracks but two tracks stood out for me, "What is Truth" and "In The Palm Of His Hand". The former is an interpretation of Pilate's view of Jesus. The latter is a touching song written while Kelvin's stepson David was dying of terminal cancer at the young age of 23. In the sleeve of the album cover Kelvin writes, "The song 'In The Palm Of His Hand' was written to express that which words alone could not say at the time." Not only is it moving in its lyrics but the tune is catchy too and almost immediately I started singing along. Unfortunately I found this to be the only song which was catchy in this way. I liked the music to "What Is Truth" and "The Kingdom Fights Back". The latter in particular shows real potential. There's no doubting that they have talent but there was very little on the album which grabbed me. The melodies are more those of a much heavier style of rock music but the production didn't reflect that. This is the group's second album and worth listening to but I feel they have the potential to go a lot further.

The reviewer (Sarita Jarrett) is correct in the assessment; The melodies are more those of a much heavier style of rock music but the production didn't reflect that.
When first I heard 'The Kingdom fights Back', played acoustically - WOW.
I paid for the production of this album; Initially I was dissapointed in the OVER-production.
But now, the music & lyrics still echoe in my head.

Further enquiries as to this music should be directed the Elim Church in Shrewsbury - where all the the Original CD's where left.
The original recording tapes can be found at: 2 Lower Farm Houses, Longden, Shrewsbury, SY5 8EX.

This album is brilliant; its only fault is POOR production.
If you could only have heared Kelvin Jones, live, and acoustic, in concert, you would honestly be impressed.

My lovein Christ - Billy Elliott
