Kindred are six black guys making melodic dance music and spine-tingling vocal harmonies. They are being called the new Commissioned, but they don't really need comparisons. Although this is their debut album, most of the band have been involved in the Christian music scene for some time, so maybe it's not surprising that this is a pretty assured debut. There's no doubting the talent (particularly in the vocal departĀment) and they may well develop into something speĀcial. My problem with this album is just that the songs aren't good enough. After several plays, I still find it hard to remember a single tune. Just a few good hooks could make all the difference
