La Liberte, from Portland, produces film scores for a living. This collection which took over a year to create contains an intriguing collection of instrumentals for films and 'just for fun'. Some work well in creating an atmosphere, "The Swarming" gives you the feeling insects are heading your way, while "Ghostlight" does put you on edge! Others such as the "Sea In Between" did not lend itself to the casual listener and would clearly need visual images to get the "message" across. Having said that, there are some beautiful pieces of music here, "A Dream Once Remembered" is a simple piece but mesmerising, while "Vapour Under The Sun" and "Asleep Under The Sun" create visual images in the mind. The album on its own, however, is at times a difficult listen.
