A pleasant selection of songs sung in an easy-going style; Linda's voice is towards the upper end of the register, and she copes well with what is not the most demanding of material. The instrumentation is keyboards and programmed strings and things and contributes to the general laid-back feel. Sadly, the ferric review cassette I was given had a seriously low recording level and turning up the volume to compensate produced far loo much tape hiss, even with Dolby B on. Another problem was bass distortion, which caused bad vibrations in my car stereo speakers; listening on headphones at home, whilst solving the bass problem, didn't cure the hiss. I can't recommend this album as it stands; that's not to say that Linda can't do the job, but the production glitches take away a lot of the listening pleasure 1 might otherwise have had. Chrome tape and proper EQ would probably improve this no end. Five for the performance, one for the recording quality - split the difference...
