From the ringing guitar opening of the first track "Ocean" Australian-born, Tennessee-based Parry delivers an album of pop rock that deserves a wide audience. There is more than a hint of Robbie Williams about Parry's youthful and enjoyable style and a depth to his songwriting that one seldom hears on such effervescent youth music. The title track reminds one a little of Del Amitri in reflective moments (without the depression and alcohol related songwriting) and elsewhere you will find moments of uplifting soft rock such as "Breath Of God" and crunchy guitar riffs in songs such as "Rise Up" whilst the balladic "Dance With Angels" and "Better Man" could be the previously mentioned Mr Williams at his best. Well worth investigating.
