Lukas have been together for more than 10 years and this is their latest release. 'Live At The Grove' was recorded "live" in the studio rather than at a concert. It features seven tracks with many being re-recordings of songs from their only full length album '10 Year Anniversary Limited Edition Sample'. The mini-album opens with "Beauty For Ashes", a synth filled anthem with a soaring chorus and a dance-infused instrumental. Main vocalist Luke Munns sings with Sarah Port on "For God So Loved", based on John 3:16. The track features strings, drums, acoustic guitar and electric guitar. "Immeasurably More" has worshipful lyrics proclaiming "It is you O Lord that our hearts long for." The dance vibe, created by synths and guitar-led interludes, really suits this uplifting song. The last track is an acoustic version of "Beauty For Ashes" with the synth replaced by piano and acoustic instruments. Overall, this is a good release, although some worshippers may be disappointed by the lack of new material.
