A British mezzo soprano in a very simple recording - just Lynne's voice accompanied by the piano performing renditions of six classic songs and hymns. Lynne trained at the Royal Scottish Academy Of Music And Drama and is currently studying with opera legend Jean Allister. The album sleeve states that "Lynne has used her gift singing to audiences large and small in churches and for Christian organisations nationally, and has featured both on television and radio." This recording made me feel I was back in school assembly, due mainly to the choice of songs - "Count Your Blessings", "Were You There?", "The Holy City", "Bless This House", "I'll Walk With God" and "How Great Thou Art". Overall, I felt as if I had gone back in time a few hundred years to when things were very formal and "proper"!
