The wonderfully named Mr Jaggers is not known on this side of the Atlantic but is gaining popularity in and around Ohio and Tennessee joining The Overtones on their Texas tour in 2009. Interestingly, The Overtones along with The Purduettes, add excellent backing vocals on this album along with over a dozen other support musicians. 'Rumble In My Soul' follows the 2003 album 'Trust' and has 10 original tracks either written or co-written by Malachi. Although he works as a studio engineer/producer Malachi has enlisted the help of Scott Rottler in the joint production of this set. The end result is an album well worth the listen, with track styles varying throughout illustrating the versatility of the singer/musician ably supported by well crafted lyrics. Malachi identifies strongly with the pain and emptiness so many people feel and wants to point to the answer. This album's core concept addresses that empty echo, the "rumbles" that we feel when God isn't present in our life. Of special note is track five "In My Place" which has a Latin American feel whilst describing the crucifixion and resurrection using a great line, "Looked Satan in the eye then rose to live on high", just a brilliant track. Malachi' has gone on to state, "It's not about me, it's all about God." That is clear in this excellent album.

I have this cd and not only do my husband and I love it,,our son LOVES it. We are lucky to have Malachi as our worship leader at church every wednesday and Sunday. Being a music lover and having a good ear for music (NOT VOICE hehe), I knew right when I heard Malachi for the first time several years ago, that he was an amazing artist w/a great gift from God. God bless him, Leah and his family.
Thank You.
