The rapper who came to Christendom's attention after touring with Michael W. Smith offers a very fine second album. His first had some great moments at times but too closely recycled the riffs of one of Mike's major influences, fellow Detroiter and outrageous funkster Bootsy Collins. But now Mike-E goes wider afield for his rhythms and there are deft applications of samples to keep the heady rhythmic brew full of froth. There's a new maturity too in the man's rhymes which are still mainly aimed at the non-believer.   If you're looking for rap, less pop than DC Talk but less hardcore than SFC, look no further
