You know how you have those unanswered questions running around your head occasionally that you toy with the idea of asking God when you finally get to meet Him face to face? Well, I don't know if white man can sing the blues, but I've just discovered that he (and white woman) can definitely sing gospel. Mosaic are a group from Norway, established in 1994 to "proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ through our song and music." Given this example of their ministry, I don't they could try any harder. 13 songs of quite diverse backing styles including Euro-rock, R&B and traditional gospel but all sharing a clear anointing and an impeccable choir. In theory this idea sounds strange, and indeed if this had been explained to me before, listening to the result I would have expected to find a few misplaced marbles rolling around, but it actually works, and in a way that emphasises the ability of this team. Even the track with blue-grass guitar, banjo and tuba (and, no, I'm not joking!) works. An exceptional group that deserves the success that their vision deserves. And no, hamsters don't go to heaven.
