At last. A bona fide real life chart act to review! The year? 1977 and there, nestling between David Soul, Leo Sayer and Manhattan Transfer was Mr Big with the slightly risque Top 5 monster hit "Romeo". Personally, as a chartologist, I've wondered wherefore art thou ever since those heady days. So here is the answer. Lead singer/guitarist Dicken has assembled a new band (they played Cross Rhythms '95 as Lost And Found) and this collection of AOR songs - some probably recorded as demos - now sees release via the band's management. Competent musicianship and Dicken's characteristic stratospheric vocals are on display, but the main problem is in the songwriting department. The title track apart, the material is rather dull with very little to make you sit up and take notice. Certainly no Juliet to couple the 70's success.
