One Sonic Society is "about unity, creativity and community." Led by Jason Ingram (vocals/guitar), Stu Garrard (guitar) and Paul Mabury (drums), an international collective of respected artists from the US, England, and Australia respectively, OSS are united in creating music that reaches for truth. One Sonic Society's "Forever Reign" and "The Greatness Of Our God" have already been recorded by Hillsong Live and sung in many churches around the world. Natalie Grant added "The Greatness Of Our God" to her 'Love Revolution' project, using it as her first radio single. With a shared vision to serve the Church by offering effective worship music to pastors around the world, Jason Ingram says, "It's been a calling on all our hearts. We're compelled to write songs for the Church. We want nothing more than to serve in this way." There are five songs on this, their second EP (the first was called 'One', guess what the third will be called), and they are very good indeed. However, although in the void left by the withdrawal of Delirious? from the music scene in 2009, OSS bring, even in the words of former guitarist Stu G from Delirious?, "a vibe that is kind of a Deliriousy-type thing" for those of us who have withdrawal symptoms, I do question the inclusion of a cover of the Delirious? classic "Majesty". That misjudgment knock off a square from the rating.

One Sonic Society - It’s a name that implies uniqueness, creativity, unity and community. It’s the perfect moniker for a collective of accomplished musicians and writers united with a shared vision to serve the church by offering effective worship music to pastors around the world.

And while the CVs of One Sonic Society founders are impressive, OSS is more than the sum of its parts. Each member is already busy with a successful career and the goal wasn’t to start another band, but to use their respective platforms for a greater good, to form a team that would create songs to be used by the church - new worship anthems that could be embraced by believers all over the world.
