The American producer and instrumentalist behind this project, Eric Nordhoff, has also had albums released in the UK under the name Selah (very confusingly, as of course there is a well known American group with that name). Anyway, this project offers 11 instrumental (mostly piano) tracks to aid devotional times. Titles such as "'Tender Moment", "Chasing Butterflies" and "Delicate Sentiment" told me all I needed to know before even putting the CD in the machine. The inlay provides suggested Bible readings to accompany the music, and ultimately the CD meets its aim by being suitably unobtrusive background music. Certainly, the overall quality of the production is good, but there is nothing earth-shattering about either the idea or the content. This disc it is pleasant enough and exists to serve an obvious niche market.
