Britain's small but growing Asian community church has still to deliver a Christian version of Talvin Singh. But while we wait for that we get this set from an Asian rapper under the auspices of South Asian Concern. By far the best tracks are the ones featuring the dholki and dhol like "Balle Balle" and "Kushi Manao". One or two of the raps are too old school and unimaginitive to work, while the ballad "Destiny" sung by Sujata Kaul and Shurmila P is pretty dreamy. But the best stuff here is good and inventive. I'd love to see this brother in concert.
