The opening ballad "7 Times A Lady" sets the pace and tone of this, Remixx's debut release 'Dear Lord'. You're taken on a journey which seems based on both personal experience and faith from "Don't Mess About With My Faith" to the catchy chorus of "I'm Ready". There's just a distinct similarity to the group Men Of Standard, could be the harmonies, not sure. 'Dear Lord' is a mix of mid tempo grooves and some nice ballads with my favourite track being the retro groove of "Keep Your Head Up". Although not cutting edge it's certainly an enjoyable, above average album.
