12 original songs from the Leicester-based evangelistic band with a project that takes us from sunrise to sunset. A nice theme and it fits with the earthy feel of this culturally diverse group. The Celtic feel is strong on "You Are The Reason" with its arching, singable tune and delicious vocal harmony, its acoustic twiddly bits and snatches of bird song, all anchored on a comforting bassline which contrasts with the acappella section. "Brand New Day", "Peace Song" and "Loch Instrumental" all have Celtic influences, but there's a bit of an Andean vibe going on on "Creator's Mark" and "Don't Be Anxious". I love the Bolivian/Peruvian sound we get on "You Take Me On", a song of trust loosely based on Psalm 91, while there is a country feel on "All Is Well" which has some pretty harmony, and "The Blessing" which moved me with its voice-overs in different languages and ages, reciting Numbers 5: 24-26. Resonance was formed by lead vocalist Helen Gale, whose strong voice holds the album together, although she doesn't quite have the lilting intensity of, say, Enya.
