Rob Ash is a dying breed of Christian artists from the 1980s along with the likes of Bryn Haworth who are still writing, performing and teaching the subsequent generations the importance of Christian music ministry. Rob plays most of the instruments on this album himself with exception to the remix of "Save The World" where he's joined by legendary musicians Terry Williams, Raul D'Olivera, Mal Pope and Dave Markee and the late Micky Gee. The lyrics "Aint no body gonna save this world but Jesus/No money, no scheme, no religion, no dream, no horoscope plan, no robot man but Jesus" is for me the highlight to this album. Another track to watch is "Bones Of Jesus", an entertaining story challenging the point of archaeology with a dinosaur sound effect and a sample of what I seem to remember is a song from the children's cartoon Funny Bones. Although this is a roots/acoustic album Rob's old blues habits do appear in a lot of the songs and that's where he's at his best. At 60 years of age Rob has brought us another strong product and doesn't seem to be putting the breaks on his career just yet. Timeless stuff.

Whoever said the devil has the best tunes got it wrong! Most tracks are brilliant and the rest are even better. Sounds like a cross between Chris Rea and Dire Straits. This man deserves far greater recognition.
