Here's a debut worship project from Wakefield-based Rob Reed which is gentle, melodic and acoustic without being cliched or bland. Adventurous acoustic music anybody? There's a certain warmth to these brittle songs and my favourites are "Of All The Words" and the closing mournful "Repent". Reed has the soul of a poet so these worshipful songs sound original and would be as much at home in a pub as in a church service. Or best of all in a church that meets in a pub! On the negative side, I am not convinced about Rob Reed's voice, which is a shame but then Morrissey has got away with it for years so perhaps there's hope. This is creative, artistic and thoughtful so just be prepared to let the songs grow on you along the way!

This album is brilliant. Different from other worship albums as it turns away from fancy words and imagery and uses lyrics that really enable worship.
