This release is a collection of live gospel worship music from three of gospel worship's most important acts. It features Ron Kenoly's CD 'Sing Out' recorded live in front of 9000 people at Carpenter's Home Church in Florida, Alvin Slaughter's CD 'Rain Down' capturing him leading worship at a number of venues worldwide, and the impressive 'I'm Amazed Live' DVD by The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir. Packaged as a live worship experience this collection is, in essence, a fairly standard gospel-by-numbers selection of the aforementioned artists' well known songs, but live! Of the two CDs Alvin Slaughter's is the more impressive with the up-tempo "Speak Lord" and "I'm Talking 'bout Jesus" really showing off the full range of his soulful voice. The highlight of this collection is the DVD featuring the 300-strong Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir with its anthemic gospel music interspersed with live testimonies from choir members of how God has transformed their lives. If you already own the Kenoly and Slaughter albums then your money would be better spent elsewhere but for those wanting a safe introduction to gospel worship music then this is a reasonable purchase.
