Comprised of worship leaders from various churches in Leeds, 'Now Is Entrusted To Me' is SO-loved's first studio venture. Although billed as a collaborative effort, Murray McEwan is clearly at the helm and the driving force behind this 12 track album as singer, songwriter and producer. The band demonstrates some versatility throughout the disc, which opens with two of the rockier tracks, "Being Very Nature God" and "We Are Saved", though the tacky keyboard on "Lord Of The Heavens" lightens the tone a little too much. McEwan's songwriting peaks in "Sing Holy Holy", whose addictive melody in the chorus went round in my head for hours, and the more atmospheric arrangement in "Glory" brought a nice change of tone (not to mention a quality guitar solo). The album closes with the distinctive folk influence of "Love Divine". Even though some of the songs drag a little, there's enough talent and inspiration here for an enjoyable listen and anticipation of what may become of the group in the future.
