This EP, as the title suggests, was written as a reflection for the season of Lent. The three tracks from the Stockholm-based husband and wife duo include two renditions of classic hymns either side of an original song. Opener "I Need Thee Every Hour" is a beautifully delicate rendition with a fragile arrangement with padded synths providing a soft backdrop to Anita's silky soft vocals. "Lamb Of God" is an original song carrying on in the same vein with piano leading the instrumentation backed up by echoed synths. The song is a prayer calling on God's mercy and peace with vocals again the focal point of the track. "It Is Well With My Soul" builds on the synth and piano sounds with heavy use of reverb in both the synth and on the vocals providing a sense of space between the notes and a more expansive sound. At around six and half minutes it is quite short however I found myself listening to 'Lent Vol 1' on repeat and soaking in the wonder of the words and sounds.
