This collection of 18 children's songs is from the same source, Classic Fox Records, from which the popular Happy Mouse series emanates. This anonymously credited project is intended for use at key moments throughout the church year. Thus, "Jesus, Light Of The World" is a song for Advent, "Bread And Wine" is for use during Holy Communion, "Holy Spirit Fall On Me" is to be applied during Pentecost, etc. In like manner other songs are intended for help with celebrating special events such as christenings, dedications and birthdays. Still other tracks are meant for use in personal devotion, or for building assurance, etc. It's an interesting concept, and this essential facet makes it stand out from other children's recordings. The music itself is pleasant though not particularly original or well produced - the funky rap-styled "Ten Important Rules" being perhaps an exception. Backing tracks for 17 of the 18 songs are included. Main songwriter is Alison Hedger (founder of Golden Apple Music), while tunes from the likes of Julia Platt and Lois Rock also get an airing.
