Shoa were a trio of Rory Thompson (guitar/vocals). Sarah Thompson (vocals) and Paul Meadows (bass) from Solihull who created ethereal acoustic music with strong songwriting and gorgeous harmonies. Produced at the Rain Studios in the West Midlands, the group's sound is augmented on some tracks with drum tracks which work most effectively on the prophetic urgency of "Sleeping Soldiers". Now with a name change to Portland, they are soon to release a debut album whilst maintaining the essence of what makes them such a great outfit.
