Spanna ('the tool in God's hands') is a member of Shekinah, the radical sound system who have created a stir with their Ragga ministry and proved that there's more to Birmingham than the Eurovision Song Contest.  His debut single received a thumbs-up from no less a luminary than Mr Jet Star himself (the man who, to all intents and purposes, is the UK's Reggae industry) - and he should know a hit when he hears one.  There are two track on the single: the title track is a paean to the joys of a new life in Christ, while 'Mr Blair' is a plea to the PM to introduce some godly policies whilst in office (judging from his decision to abolish student grants, my guess is this CD isn't on the stereo at Number 10).  Both songs are happy, upbeat affairs which leave you eagerly awaiting a full-length album, - and it's good to hear someone bring some topicality to Christian ragga music.  More, please.
