This is the debut album from Australian Sue Yeomans. From the chugging, edgy guitars and heavy drums of the opening track "Mercy" to the quiet ballad "Loving Me", the album uses light and shade throughout to keep each track and the album fresh and interesting. Sue's Christian background - her parents are pastors - comes through with the songs being directly about our relationship with God and how that should affect our lives. The songs are well written and produced and Sue's voice fits well with all but the all-out belters where the vocal line tends to be heavily processed, such as the standout track "Lord God Almighty". A cool album that deserves more than one listen.
