Bright, fast and instantly slipping in somewhere between Jimmy Eats World and My Chemical Romance, the North Carolina quintet have stepped things up a gear from debut album 'Hey, I'm A Ghost'. The band have found their voice and it's a leaner, sharper sound, based around Brooks Paschal's stronger emo-pop vocals. There's a dark heart beating behind those big melodies though, lyrics that deal with pain, frustration, self-destruction and recurring mistakes. "What makes it alright, doesn't make it all better," they sing on "Fire Away", and this is an honest record that doesn't turn away and cover its eyes from the realities of life.
