Swirl are a Dutch band formed in 1998 with four members (three from a previous band The Flight). New names to your ears? Maybe, but they create a very tight rock performance which can only result from lots of gigging. On first listen, the lead vocalist Berry de Snoo, reminded me of Mikko Kuustonen (Q Stone) so much that I rechecked the CD inlay. This EP contains one instrumental and four vocal tracks demonstrating a fair amount of U2 influence - a great introduction to the band as indeed is their web site (www.swirl.nl) but guys, it needs updating somewhat as there are lots of past gigs on view as forthcoming dates.
