This is a bitty, rather flat effort. Dave DuChene's songs are theologically right-on and he's got a nice turn of lyrical phrase in places, but they're musically undistinguished. Production doesn't help matters: there are keyboard effects and riffs here that wouldn't have sounded out of place 25 years ago, and the style overall is patchy – as if the producer couldn't decide on a single approach but started over with each track. Result: a resounding round of apathy.
