With a nine out of 10 rating for their debut EP, this young band from the Midlands had a lot to live up to on this their second release. In many ways they have built on that initial recording with a well produced, dynamically exciting set of five songs. Continuing to deliver quality pop rock with a distinctive British indie edge, the tracks also have a grittier rock feel, driven along by an irresistible, thick and warm bass sound. The title track opens the set with an almost haunting vocal which then leads into a much more radio friendly pop tune in "The Light". The band's worship group roots can be heard in "Nothing Can Separate" as a quiet start is built on towards its sing along chorus. Throughout the recording I was reminded of similar indie bands but this is in no way a copycat recording. The EP is closed off in style with a strong acoustic led ballad. "My Soul Cries Out" is an honest and reflective modern day psalm that is full of hope.
