If you missed this 2004 release when it came out you might well have been subsequently drawn to it by the airplay given by Cross Rhythms radio to such tracks as "Now That You've Found Me", "Trumpet Song" and "Anthem". The Swift play piano-driven pop rock with an effervescence and originality which should stop most reviewers name checking Ben Folds and Elton John. Probably "Anthem" is my favourite cut with a pounding piano intro, an excellent yearning vocal from Britt Edwards and an anthemic chorus ("Love come rescue me/Take me away from the world and set my spirit free"). It's a shame guitarist Chris Byers has now left the band as he contributes a tasty solo on the cut. Other highlights are a tasty string arrangement on "Now That You've Found Me". All in all, clever, snappy, accessible music.
