These piano-driven pop rockers enjoyed CCM success before, shortly after the release of this at The Life conference in Orlando, announcing they were breaking up. The Swift were a four piece based in Nashville who had been leading worship for 10 years. This is reflected in the crafting of the songs and the togetherness of the band. Their sound is a cross between Keane, Ben Folds, Coldplay and Delirious? (who The Swift ably cover on their version of "Rain Down"). The album combines well known CCM covers with their own songs, and the quality of the writing is such that the covers didn't stick out as can be the case with many albums. "When The Tears Fall" and "Always Been With Me" particularly shine, the latter a tremendous piano-lead song with great harmonies and heartfelt lyrics. God centred music that will impact you wherever you are at. As the saying goes, "don't judge a CD by it's cover." This one almost passed Cross Rhythms by; make sure you don't miss it.
