As seasoned Christian hip-hop devotees will tell you, the Tunnel Rats are a collective of emcees, writers and other individuals. Here they're showcased on a 20-track compilation. This release follows hot on the heels of 'Tunnelvision', the collective's second album. Heavily influenced by a hip-hop sound they bob, weave, duck and deliver a hard hitting release of personal testimonies and various life issues. The album features tracks either written or collectively delivered by Dokument, Macho, Jamie, Propaganda, Raphi, Zane, Dert, Griffin, Elsie, Theresa Jones, Sev Static and New Breed. The opening track "Born Again" sets the scene - a strong head bobber with an impulsive hook on the chorus. To be honest I had to listen a couple of times to the release to really get into it fully but overall enjoyed it. Sev Statik does it for me on his no compromise track "Disposable". As he states himself, "out to cause mayhem" - for the Kingdom, of course! Tunnelrats are, as always, uncompromising and ready for action.
