The latest release from Ultra Nate shows that she has not forgotten her gospel roots. Unlike her 1993 classic "Rejoicing" this song could be interpreted as just another man/woman love song. The chorus "You bring me joy" never mentions anywhere who brings her joy, but the fact there are no sexual connotations in the lyrics as might be expected in a man/woman song hint that it is God she refers to. More clues can be found with the repeated line "Hold your head up to the sky" in some of the mixes, and her frequent testimonies to her faith in the dance music press. This song is a relatively sparse affair, with a pumping garage beat, making this music for the clubs rather than for radio. Available in several mixes, including a mighty 10 min 02 second mix, and three mixes which add a harder touch by house supremo Todd Terry. Open your mind and purchase this record.
