Great men of gospel, eh? So who’s here? James Cleveland, Jessy Dixon…? Well, no. This collection offers such “greats” as Myron Williams, Steve Lawrence and Smokie Norfull. Ah so, another case of Nashville suits engaging in oversell. To be fair though, there are some “greats” here, like the Blind Boys Of Alabama and R&B giant Aaron Neville. But there’s little stylistic coherence and few memorable songs so that overall this gives the impression of being a thrown together compilation with too few standout cuts.
