This compilation of various, mainly recent worship songs is gathered under the banner of themes marked by "the three days that changed the course of history and eternity", beginning with the sacrifice of Christ on Good Friday through to the glorious resurrection life two days later. Essentially, I guess, the celebration of new life in Christ encompasses the vast majority of worship songs! Nevertheless, this collection picks some of the greatest worship songs of the past few years, along with a couple of oldies, like Keith Green's somewhat out-of-place "Easter Song" and "Beautiful Scandalous Night", superbly rendered here by the Robbie Seay Band. Other notables include Charlie Hall's take of Delirious?' "Majesty", Jeremy Camp's reading of Tim Hughes' "Beautiful One", along with gems from Redman, Tomlin and the said Hughes. Virtually all tracks are picked from existing albums on the Sparrow Records label, and it's good to see the Brits so well represented, both in writing and performance capacities. 12 terrific songs and a true worship feast on an otherwise rather spuriously themed compilation.
